The word Astrology owes its origin to Greek word ‘astron’ meaning constellation star. The study of Astrology dates back to 3000 years BC across several civilizations of the world.

Astrology is considered a science of divination and is based upon the movement and position of some important stars and planets like Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn at the exact time, date and place of birth of every human being.
 
Astrology studies zodiac-- a circular region in the heavens on either side of the ecliptic or the path traced by the sun in course of its movement during the year.

 The zodiac is divided into 12 constellations or the astrological signs. These signs reflect or shape the human life on earth on the principle of “as above, so below.”

The 12 zodiac signs represent the 12 basic human traits. Astrology studies the impact of these signs on human life and destiny and also the circumstances and events on earth.

Everyone knows what astrology means because of the science subject in elementary school but how about the astrology that holds another meaning.
