Parapsychology

Parapsychology is the study of psychic or paranormal phenomena that cannot be explained through the laws of physical science. The term ‘parapsychology’ was coined by a psychologist Max Dessoir around 1889. It was further popularized by JB Rhine through his studies in telepathy and similar other psychic phenomena.

Psychic phenomena involve the use of paranormal abilities like clairvoyance, clairaudience, intuition, telepathy and so on for the purpose of divination.

Clairvoyance, for example, is an ability to see clearly what cannot be seen through our physical eyes. A psychic can see beyond the boundaries of space and time and find out the truth.

Similarly, he can step into the mind of people around or beyond him to learn what is going on there. This ability is called telepathy. The psychics also use certain tools like horoscope, tarot, crystals, pendulums etc to analyze the personality traits of their clients and divine their future.
